Story
The opening lines of humankind's greatest epics, sung once more in the ancient tongues they were first written in. Each chapter revives the voice of a civilization; the poet is summoned across the centuries. The first stop is the Ancient Greek opening of Homer's Odyssey — 'Sing to me, O Muse, of the man of many ways.'
